I spent all day Saturday being especially domestic! I joined some other women and all their peaches to bottle them up and provide ourselves with fresh peaches year round!
It's all about the numbers: (These are just MY numbers- for all the numbers and a few pictures check HERE)
3- boxes of peaches I purchased and were needing processing.
38- miles driven to join in on the peaching fun. (Round trip)
10- the time (AM) that I arrived for Peach Day 2008.
2- other women I joined to "Peach it up."
2- crock pots full to the brim with peach butter that I drove down that needed to be canned.
7- batches of jam I made while there. (I did most of the work on this, but Aleah and Jeri were AWESOME and helped me blanch and remove the pits for this)
20- lbs of sugar I personally used.
24- finished half pints of peach butter and peach jam I took home.
20- finished pints of peaches, more butter, and more jam I took home.
16- finished quarts of sliced peaches I took home.
6- the time (PM) I finished with peaches and headed home.
17- mph over the speed limit I was going when I was pulled over by the cop on my way home. (I was lost and too busy trying to find the right street to pay attention to the speed limit signs and my speedometer)
1- ticket I recieved from the cop that pulled me over.
9- mph he wrote the ticket out for. He was nice and cut it down to the "smallest possible fine."
80- the price of the ticket.
35- the state fee that goes WITH that ticket
60- the cost of traffic school so it won't effect my insurance rates.
And that is how the first half of my day went! When I got home I had MORE numbers to process.
2- the number of times Joe broke out laughing randomly because I had gotten a ticket.
1- poster for church that I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT in all the hectic-ness that was my Saturday.
2- displays for church on Sunday that I needed to get finished (and thanks to Rachel, I DID finish!)
1- salad I had to make for Sunday's dinner at my SIL's house.
1- Newsletter I had to finish writing for church.
2- people I had to call to get the info needed for said newsletter
90- copies of said newsletter I needed to print and staple to be distributed.
11- amazingly enough, the time I got to bed! Not too bad!

Wow! I need a nap now just from reading all of that!
Sorry about the ticket. :(
good job! What's with the state fee?? Lame!
Sucky about the ticket but yay for all the canning. Canning with friends makes it more fun! Good job!
Goodness gracious! I don't think I've ever had a day that busy! Or that productive. Hmm, maybe that's my problem...
